LSP Quick Start Guide

LSP Super Admin

The first account registered as a Language Agency will be considered a “root admin” and have maximum administrative permissions: ability to invite requestor companies and interpreters, promote interpreters to administrators, accept calls, create appointments etc.

This is the only account that will be registered through direct registration URL. All other accounts need to be invited by either interpreter administrator or requestor administrator. Otherwise accounts will not be linked.

Steps to make after first registration:

1. Invite your team of interpreters

Navigate to Configuration -> Interpreters -> Invite Your Team

2. After interpreter accepted invitation set language and service type permissions:

  • Navigate to Configuration -> Interpreters
  • Click on the interpreter account record in the table - Interpreter Viewer will be opened
  • Click on “Permissions” tab
  • Set Communication type (Audio/Video/In Person), Language pair and Service type -> click Add; save changes.

Interpreter will not be able to accept calls and participate in appointments without exact permissions being set by LSP admin.

3. Invite your Requestor Accounts

Navigate to Configuration -> Accounts -> Invite Account

Requestor Account normally means a Company account managed by requestor administrator. Each requestor account will have its own team of requestors that will be invited from Requestor account. E.g. Requestor Account can be a hospital that has a team of doctors and nurses as requestors.

4. Accept trial call

LSP admin can also be an interpreter, and can accept a call.

In the Trial mode all calls are supported until at least 1 permission is manually set. After that, same as for regular interpreter you should set Communication type, Language pair and Service type permissions to be able to accept a call.

Permissions for admins are set in a same way as shown for interpreters above. Go to Configuration -> Administrators -> click on the record -> Permissions

To accept a call: Open caller by clicking a microphone icon at the top navigation bar, go online. Place a call from requestor or requestor admin account, answer from LSP admin account.

Interpreter

1. Click Accept Invitation button in the invitation email from LSP

2. Complete your interpreter account registration and click Create Account

3. Log into newly created account. Complete required profile information in "Complete Your Profile" popup

4. Go to Configuration -> My Profile and update your profile with additional information

5.  Make sure that your LSP admin has set the right permissions.  To check this information, go to My Profile -> scroll down to “Permissions” section. Interpreter will not be able to accept calls and participate in appointments without exact permissions being set by LSP admin.

  • Information that you will enter in Default Service Type and Native Language fields will be prepopulated for you in the caller app when placing the call.
  • Interactive Voice Response (IVR) allows you to access interpretation services via GSM. You don’t have to have a computer, mobile device and be connected to the internet in order to use it. Simply dial the number and service code from the landline phone.

To test this feature - go to Configuration -> My Profile and click Build Dial Number, select language pair and service type. Dial first 11-digits number from your phone, then, following voice instructions, dial IVR PIN and service code.

4. Place a trial call

Requestor admin can also be a requestor, and can place a call. Requestor don’t have to set any permissions to be able to do it.

To place a call: Open caller by clicking a microphone icon at the top navigation bar. Select a language pair and Service type, audio / video, and click Call.

5. Invite your team of requestors

Navigate to Configuration -> Users -> Invite Your Team

Requestor

Requestor account looks almost the same as Requestor Admin account. Main differences are:

  1. Invitation for registration comes from Requestor Admin account
  2. No access to Appointments calendar
  3. No access to other requestors and admins accounts and no ability to invite them

*Note: Requestor Admin has the ability to grant administrative permissions to Requestor.

 Important Notes:

  • Do not log in to different accounts in the same browser. Always log out before trying another role.
  • Email address that is used for inviting interpreters / requestors should be unique and can not be used more than once.
  • In all interpreter and LSP admin accounts you will find a link to Boostlingo Community with answers to some FAQs
